Featured Opportunity
Grants are made for scholarly exhibitions at museums; curatorial research; visual arts programming at artist-centered organizations; artist residencies and commissions; arts writing; and efforts to promote the health, welfare and first amendment rights of artists. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $120K
  • Deadline: Applications due September 1, 2022

Funding Opportunities
The program aims to increase understanding in one of the following focus areas: 1) programs, policies, and practices that reduce inequality in youth outcomes, and 2) strategies to improve the use of research evidence in ways that benefit youth. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $600K (over 2 - 3 years)
  • Deadline: Applications due August 3, 2022

The foundation seeks to educate, engage, and enroll more eligible older adults with low income in MSPs and to learn about the barriers to awareness, application, and the recertification process. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $150K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 3, 2022
The foundation supports education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived. This program is “field-initiated” in that proposal submissions are not in response to a specific request for a particular research topic, discipline, design, method, or location. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $50K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 9, 2022

The fund supports projects designed to improve the water quality of California’s watersheds and their ecosystems.
  • Award Amount: Up to $25K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 15, 2022
SIF invites concept proposals for projects that link an explicit research design to a concrete social action strategy. Projects should also have specifically stated social change goals and priority will be given to projects that explicitly promote racial justice and more equitable laws, policies and practices.
  • Award Amount: Up to $20K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 16, 2022
Proposals are intended to improve our understanding of the molecular and cellular consequences of genetic risk for ASD, and to provide a foundation for the development of new therapies. Focus areas include: Integrative Analyses of Multi-omic ASD Data, Functional Analysis of Associated Variants, and Genetic Therapies.
  • Award Amount: $400K - $1.5M
  • Deadline: Applications due August 18, 2022
This funding competition focuses on the two broad themes of spiritual yearning and meaning-making for the nonreligious, with each of these themes covering a number of possible empirical and conceptual research questions. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $2.2M
  • Deadline: Applications due August 19, 2022
  • Individuals interested in applying are strongly encouraged to work with Sylvia Bierhuis
The program aims to advance technology directed at real-time visualization of biological processes at the level of cells and molecules, as well as seeking to accelerate the dissemination and adoption of imaging technologies, methods, platforms, or training resources.
  • Award Amount: No amount limitations
  • Deadline: Applications due August 23, 2022
Seeks applications for projects that aim to use and gain insights into health and disease from existing single-cell datasets to help accelerate progress toward challenges associated with the compilation and exploration of large atlas-scale data.
  • Award Amount: $200K - $400K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 25, 2022
EIF supports developmental projects, instructional projects, and training programs in engineering education and research that fit their fields of interest. Areas of priority include the availability and use of published information, women in engineering, and information access in developing countries. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $25K
  • Deadline: Applications due August 31, 2022
Supports the digitization of important visual resources in the area of pre-modern European art history; of primary textual sources; for promising initiatives in online publishing; and for innovative experiments in the field of digital art history. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $50K
  • Deadline: Applications due September 1, 2022
