FRCP Grant Writing Workshop
Join the Foundation Relations & Corporate Philanthropy team on December 4 - 5 for an exclusive, in-person grant writing workshop. This immersive learning experience is designed for both faculty and staff members. The foundation is committed to transforming the future of cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts through the Sphinx Venture Fund (SVF). SVF catalyzes initiatives designed to solve a challenge or an issue related to DE&I in the sphere of the performing arts, with an emphasis on classical music. Areas of priority include: Chamber Music; Repertoire/Canon; New Media/Recordings; and Artist Management.
  • Award Amount: $50K - $100K (over 2 years)

The foundation is dedicated to fostering the production and appreciation of the contemporary arts, particularly the visual arts. Grants are provided to organizations which offer the public insights into the range of contemporary art being created by all populations in all media. Such special projects include: exhibitions of contemporary art; publications; acquisitions of contemporary art for the organization's permanent collection; visiting artist programs; filmmaking projects; and special events associated with contemporary art programs.

RWJF is seeking outstanding midcareer health professionals, behavioral and social scientists, and others with an interest in health and the drivers of health who are skilled and committed; with expertise in health and health equity; and can offer an informed perspective on important and complex challenges facing policymakers.
     Fellows actively participate in the policy process in congressional or executive branch offices of their choosing and leverage this leadership experience to promote policies, practices, and systems changes that advance health and health equity. 
  • Award Amount: $175K (up to 8 awards total)

The fund was established to provide targeted grants to individual species conservation initiatives, recognize leaders in the field and elevate the importance of species in the broader conservation debate. Its focus is global and eligibility for grants will extend to all plant, animal and fungi species conservation efforts, without discrimination on the basis of region or selected species. 
  • Award Amount: Up to $25K
  • Deadline: Applications are due October 31, 2023
The program is designed to encourage the advancement of chemistry in all its branches, to support research in chemical science and in industry, and to promote the careers of chemists. Multiple awards are open for nominations.

The purpose of these awards is to help launch the careers of outstanding investigators in the fields of microbial ecology, microbial biogeochemistry and/or microbial evolution in marine or natural freshwater systems, who will advance our understanding through field work, experiments, modeling or theory. Investigators must currently be active in basic research addressing fundamental questions in these fields and must focus a large fraction of their lab’s effort in this area. 
  • Award Amount: $810K ($270K per year over 3 years)

The program's areas of interest include: advocacy, direct service, professional education & training, and research seeking causes and solutions to significant problems for older adults.

The program supports innovative research on the causes and consequences of changes in the quality of jobs for low- and moderately paid workers and their families in the U.S. The foundation seeks research proposals that will broaden our understanding of the role of changes in employer practices, the nature of the labor market and public policies on employment, earnings, and job quality. Proposals that address questions about the interplay of market and non-market forces in shaping the wellbeing of workers will be prioritized.

This program encourages perspectives from multiple disciplines, including economics, psychology, political science, sociology, law, public policy, and other social sciences, to further our understanding of economic, social, and political decision-making processes, attitudes, behaviors, and institutional practices in public and private contexts such as policing/criminal legal systems, employment, housing, politics, racial/ethnic relations, and immigration.
  • Award Amount: Average grant is $175K
  • Deadline: Applications are due November 7, 2023
The AMS established the Claytor-Gilmer Fellowship to further excellence in mathematics research and to help generate wider and sustained participation by Black mathematicians.
  • Award Amount: $50K

Wellcome’s mental health strategic aim is to drive a transformative change in our ability to intervene as early as possible in the course of anxiety, depression and psychosis, in ways that reflect the priorities and needs of people who experience these problems. 
     This call will fund research that advances scientific understanding of the causal mechanisms through which brain, body and environment interact over time in the development, persistence and resolution of anxiety- and trauma-related disorders.
  • Award Amount: Up to £4 million ($5.2M USD)
  • Deadline: Applications are due November 14, 2023

CZI seeks to support projects that will advance the fields of single-cell biology and data science. Projects may include dedicated efforts to democratize access and usability of existing single-cell datasets, demonstrate utility by leveraging existing single-cell datasets to address impactful and challenging biological questions, and develop methods that enable greater biological insight and other major challenges brought forward.  
  • Award Amount: Up to $400K total costs for Expanded Projects and $200K total costs for Focused Projects (both over 18 months)
  • Deadline: Applications are due December 5, 2023
The SSRF Award will support researchers who have a strong track record of leadership in scientific software development. The aim of this program is to stimulate the development and maintenance of core scientific software infrastructure in academic environments through creating a new, long-term, faculty-level career path. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in mathematics, astronomy or theoretical physics and have played a leading role in developing or maintaining scientific software in one or more of these fields.
  • Award Amount: $50K + 50% of salary (over 5 years)
  • Deadline: Applications are due December 8, 2023
